Corporate Coaching
It is becoming more common to have an Executive Coach on a retainer for your company. The advantage is that someone is always available to address the latest communication issue disrupting your team and its progress to making your company the best it can be. Below are some examples of how an Executive Coach can help you with your communication needs.
Hiring and Retaining Employees
It is believed that 85% of people do not experience real satisfaction from their work. If you want a team that is enthusiastic and enjoys its work, it is essential to match the position with the talents of the individual. It's a recipe for disaster to take a person who enjoys and excels at computer work and make him a head of a department. The last thing he probably wants to do is deal with people issues. And my bet is his lack of job satisfaction will result in poor performance.
In my experience, working directly with a person, asking the right questions and listening carefully to the responses will accurately determine if, indeed, they are truly committed to the position for which you are trying to fill. If it isn't a good match, you can be sure discontent will grow with the person and the company will feel frustration with the employee's job performance.
Let me interview the people that you are considering hiring or promoting to a new position. My proven two-hour in-person assessment process will help you match the talents of an individual with your specific needs.
Employee Exit Assistance
Departure of employees for any reason is disruptive and upsetting for the employee and your company. In an effort to make this transition easier, the following package has been developed.
- Immediately after an employee has been told they no longer have a position, I am available to the employee as someone to "talk" to. This offers the employee a resource and allows him or her to release any anger/upset feelings before leaving the building.
- Assistance in uncovering an employee's talents so that they may know what kind of position would better suit them going forward.
- Resume & Cover Letter Preparation - Working to develop an effective cover letter and resume that truly reflects the employee's talents and accomplishments.
- Interview Preparation - One of the most dreaded events can be turned into a great learning experience and opportunity for effective communication training.
- Eighty percent of positions are a direct result of networking. Teaching effective networking skills sets the employee up for success. This includes a networking plan that incorporates where to go, what to say and how to follow-up.
An employee who receives the assistance listed above is much more likely to say good things about your company after they leave. Wouldn't it be terrific to provide departing employees with the tools they need to find another position?
NOTE: If you find that the steps listed above are not the appropriate steps for your exiting employee's situation, I would be happy to design a package that meets your specific needs.
