As a keynote speaker myself, I am always analyzing other speakers to determine which ones are most engaging and effective. I have found those who are most compelling share some commonalities:
- When the speaker used stories, people listened.
- When the speaker was relaxed, the audience relaxed.
- When the speaker was having fun, the audience had fun.
- When the speaker gave the "why it works", people understood.
- When the speaker taught practical, easy to implement tools, the audience learned tools that they could use immediately. Often they were surprised by the simplicity.
When a person takes his/her time to come and listen to me I am honored. Time is a precious commodity and the last thing you need to do is waste your time listening to a speaker that is not effective. I pride myself in constantly enhancing my presentation skills and keeping up-to-date with the latest practices that will work for your business and your personal life.
